**Please note that at the current time, the Weimaraner Club of Columbus is not accepting any dogs into rescue. We would be happy to assist by posting your dog's info on our web site and listing Weimaraners that are in shelters for adoption on our site. Please consider contacting our national rescue group at http://www.weimrescue.org/ or one of our neighboring clubs for available dogs in their area.
Please be sure that you fill out the adoption application for the appropriate group, for example, go to Cincinnati's web site and fill out their application if interested in a dog they have.
How do I adopt a Weim?
Discuss this thoroughly with your family to be sure that all are willing to work towards a successful adoption. Each individual club or rescue group has their own policies regarding temperament and healt checks a dog must go through before being accepted into their organization or before being adopted out. Please work with the rescue of your choice to find out more about their specific criteria.
